Roquefort Cycle Lodge offers Cyclist Specific accommodation in the heart of THE FRENCH PYRENEEN MOUNTAINS. We have the perfect base for groups and clubs wanting to train, couples looking for a cycling holiday in a beautiful location and individuals who like the challenge of the Mountains.
Our location in Ariege, is in a very unspoilt part of South-West France, soon to be given Regional Park Status. It is very quiet, even in the height of Summer, which is one of the reasons cyclists return year after year to ride on traffic free roads amongst beautiful mountain scenery, which also can be challenging to riders that want more than just country roads.
Now in its 19th Year the lodge has always welcomed both Professional and Amateur Cyclists from all over the world. Situated on the Tour de France 2007 route we are in the perfect position for many Cols which are right on our doorstep. The area is superb for both Road Cycling and Mountain Biking and we have extensive knowledge of the local area to help you plan your rides.
We offer clean, comfortable accommodation and we are able to take up to 11 Cyclists, however, if your group is larger please do not hesitate to contact us. We have two twin rooms with shared bathroom, having very powerful hot showers, and privacy is not a problem. Also there is the topdeck, accommodating up to 7, with it's own shower and toilet facilities. For relaxation we have a lounge area with Tv and CD Player, also a Wood Burner if we hit on any chilly nights and outside we have extensive grounds and a Patio area, or you may prefer to sit in the bar to play a game, listen to music or just to have drink and talk about the day. We also have a lot of books and maps to help you find your barings
We all eat together either on the Patio or in the Dining Room where we serve your Breakfast and our hearty Three Course 'Cyclist friendly ' Evening Meals washed down with local wines.
We have safe overnight storage for your bikes so they sleep well, offer a Cycle kit washing service and are able to arrange for a English Speaking Sports Masseur, to visit you at the lodge, for those days when your legs just can't do anymore!
