Who are we?

We are Mark and Elma and the new owners of Roquefort Cycle Lodge.  Mark is a very experienced cyclist and spinning instructor.  Elma is an excellent cook so we are the perfect team to take the Lodge into its 19th year of welcoming cyclists from all over the world.

We live on the premises which allows us to make plenty of time for our guests. We look forward to meeting lots of cyclists and welcoming them into our lodge.

We are in the department of ARIEGE in the MIDI-PYRENEES, in France.  We are two hours away by car from both Toulouse and Carcassonne.  Being approximately three-quarters away across the Pyrenean Mountains, we are about 4 hours drive from the Mediterranean Coast.  Our recommended map to find our exact location is Yellow Michelin Map No. 343 titled Ariege, Haute Garonne, which also has all the local Col rides on.  Or click on the link.  Move the cursor on the link until you see St Girons it is down and to the right. As this maps starts on the Western side of the Pyrenees you will need to scroll for sometime until you find us. 

Our local large town is St Girons and our lodge is attached to Biert. Massat is just 2km away from the lodge and has all local amenities, Supermarket, Pharmacy, Tabac, Wine Store, Bio Shop, Gift Shops.
